From boardrooms to church basements to coalition tables, we create space for people to tell the truth, hear each other for real, and transform conflict for good.

Our Approach

Our approach is trauma-informed, systems-aware, and grounded in the science of human behavior, group dynamics, and organizational psychology. We focus not just on resolving single conflicts, but on strengthening the long-term capacity of people and groups to constructively navigate tension, disagreement, and division.

Approaching every conflict with empathy and deep understanding.

Recognizing interdependence and our shared humanity.

Leaning into difficulty and trusting ourselves instead of turning away.

Child Climbing Tree

From Fort Society to Facilitation

Fun fact: Marissa has been facilitating conflict transformation since she was nine years old, when she was president of her neighborhood “fort society.” Whenever two or more kids started fighting playing in the woods, someone would yell “TO THE ROCKS!” which was a signal for everyone to stop doing whatever they were doing and head to a circle of large rocks, designated "the Council Rocks."

Marissa would then help the group hash it out, repair relationships, and get back to the important work of having fun.

FAQs

What kinds of conflict do you work with?

RepairWorks focuses primarily on workplace, team, and organizational conflict, including interpersonal tension between colleagues, leadership conflict, team breakdowns, coalition strain, and conflict within established groups (such as nonprofits, faith communities, or membership organizations).

We do not provide divorce, romantic relationship, custody, or personal/family mediation services. Our work centers on conflict within professional and community contexts where people need to continue working or leading together.

What’s the difference between mediation, facilitation, and coaching?

Great question! They serve different purposes.

  • Mediation: A structured, confidential process where a neutral third party supports people in conflict to reach clarity, accountability, and workable agreements.

  • Facilitated dialogue: Guided group conversations that surface tension, rebuild trust, or navigate difficult topics productively.

  • Coaching / advisory: Support for individuals (often leaders or managers) preparing for difficult conversations or building conflict competence skills.

If you’re not sure which you need, we’ll help you determine the right approach.

How much does working with RepairWorks cost?

Every conflict is different. We'll walk through your needs together and provide transparent pricing before we begin. You can read about our pricing philosophy here.

What if I'm not sure what I need yet?

That's completely normal. Most of our work starts with a simple conversation to see what's surfacing and how we might best support you. We can help you identify exactly where to start. Book a consultation now.
